This is US . . .
We are 18 acres of pasture, woods, creek, critters, and two tired people. The farm was overgrown and tumbling down five years ago, with fences that were, in some places, nothing more than crushed wire and tall weeds. Today, all the fences have been replaced, a workshop was added, the old barn is usable and soon will have a face lift. The weeds are under control (mostly!) and there is grass in the pasture. It’s been a long journey and the work isn’t done yet.
Our website has been a work-in-progress, also. With the release of my new children’s picture book in July, the website became a real priority. We hope you will enjoy reading “The Legend of Painted Pony and the Western Wind.” My grandchildren have loved it, and we are happy that it has taken shape as it has. You can find the book and associated products under the Painted Pony Products tab.
Our organic gardening and edible landscaping have been challenging and rewarding. The garden looks like the “abundance fairy” gave it an extra whack this year. It’s encouraging after several years of working with the soil and praying through the drought. The edible landscaping is new and doing a little struggling – hope it will really perk up next spring! See the Go Organic! page for some ideas you can use at home.
